Simply separate the gold jewelry, silver, copper, or any other type of material by groups so you can quickly see the whole selection at a glance.
By type:
If you like collecting different pieces, and have multiple rings, necklaces, earrings, etc., try separating them by style. That way, you can quickly assess and find a specific piece of jewelry that you might be looking for.
A jewelry box in which you can hang or layer the necklaces is always a good idea, not only because you prevent them from getting tangled, but also because it allows you to see all your necklaces at a glance. By the same token, a jewelry box or jewelry tree with separators for your rings is always a plus.
Use the different compartments on your jewelry box for items of the same group and always put the pieces you take from that compartment back in the same place. This will allow you to know what is in each drawer and will make your search for a specific piece a lot easier.
Alphabetical order:
You can always use the good old alphabetical order and organize your jewelry that way: bracelets, necklaces, rings… You get the idea.
By clothing style:
Because some jewelry goes better than others with a determined clothing style, another way to organize your jewelry is by grouping them by the style of clothing you wear…casual, business, formal, that way you can just go to that group of jewelry when you are putting an outfit together and select the jewelry that best complements your attire.
You can always separate your jewelry in smaller boxes and have them ready for a specific style.
Keep it simple:
