Previously, the choir has performed before the Queen of England and took to the stage with Paul McCartney, Mariah Carey and other recording artists. The choir raises funds to provide education opportunities for upwards of 50,000 children in Africa since 1984 as part of the Uganda-based education program, Music for Life.

It is well known that education plays a huge role into the outcome of a child’s future in impoverished countries like Africa. Next to food it is the greatest resource. It is the role of each member of the choir to support access to donations because of the international success of the choir. The donations go to supporting nearly 8,000 children back home, as well as the choir members allowing them access to education.

The opportunity is crucial and has allowed former African Children’s Choir members to complete impressive achievements like becoming doctors, and engineers and lawyers– while others find a trade to work in, that they can apply in a local employment opportunity at home.
The choir will next perform at Crossroads Bible Church in San Jose, CA. You can get to know the children of the choir by visiting their website and browsing their gallery.
