Anush and Donara Chibukhchyan

The breathtaking landscapes of Tavush have been a constant source of inspiration for us. Each piece carries a part of our hearts and the heritage of Armenia.

"I am Anush Chibukhchyan, and together with my cousin Donara Chibukhchyan, we live in the Tavush region of Armenia. The... breathtaking landscapes of Tavush have been a constant source of inspiration for us. Our journey into the world of art and craftsmanship is deeply rooted in the rich cultural heritage of our homeland. We pursued our passion for the arts at YSU Ijevan, where we both graduated with the title of applied art artists.

"Our love for teaching led us back to the same university, where we have been lecturing since 2000. Guiding the next generation in design, painting, and various folk crafts such as embroidery, lace making, needlework, carpet and rug weaving, batik, and stained-glass skills has been an incredibly rewarding experience for us. Through these teachings, we strive to preserve and pass on the treasured traditions of Armenian art to future generations.

"In 2010, we proudly became members of the RA Union of Artists. Through the 'Women Entrepreneurs' program of the Armenian Benevolent Union and with the generous support of the 'My Armenia' program, we created our very own brand, Chibukhchyans. This brand serves as a platform to showcase the arts of Armenia to the world.

"Under the banner of Chibukhchyans, we handcraft works that embody the spirit of our homeland. From stained glass bird paintings and tableware to fabrics, pillows, covers, bags, silk scarves, jewelry, and accessories, each piece carries a part of our hearts and the heritage of Armenia.

"We regularly participate in exhibitions, expos, and festivals, where we proudly present and introduce the diverse productions of the Chibukhchyans brand. Conducting master classes is a cherished opportunity for us to share our knowledge and passion with others, nurturing a sense of appreciation for handmade craftsmanship."
