“What I like the most is being able to embody and transmit feelings and experiences through a piece of jewelry.”
“I was born in Lima as the second of four siblings. I lived with my family until I was married at 32. As a girl, I liked... to draw, always trying to get the minute details into the drawing. I liked making crafts and everything decorative. I studied accounting, working for five years in this field and afterward I worked as an executive secretary for 20 years. I think this period is the one which marked my life so that I could dedicate myself to jewelry now, since I always observed how important a woman’s image can be for the executive woman, as well as the contemporary woman.
“I think if my friends had to describe me in three words, they’d say I’m a helpful, trustworthy and creative person. One of the most difficult moments in my life was the unexpected death of my father when I was 20. It was just when I was studying accounting and my plans to be a great accountant were cut short because I had to assume the role of a parent along with my older sister and look for a job to help my mother and two younger siblings who were still in school. Thank God we forged ahead. Another difficult moment was in 2011 when my mother was admitted to the intensive care unit at a hospital for three weeks. The doctors said they couldn’t do any more and only a miracle could save her. Thank God, a miracle occurred.
“I’ve also had very lovely, enjoyable and embarrassing moments like when I dropped my engagement ring down the sink in the bathroom at the gym I attended. It was at night and I had argued with my fiancée and nearly did the impossible to recover it that night and still wasn’t able to do so. Everyone said it was a sign that I wasn’t meant to marry him. The next day, I found a plumber, went to gym and got it back. I’ve been happily married to Erick for 16 years and of course there have been some highs and lows. I have two precious daughters from this union – Ericka and Daniela.
“My future plans are to learn more and gain more experience that will allow me to perfect my skills in this field as well as being able to assist people who have the skills for jewelry making and help them develop. I hope to make my art known through my jewelry not just nationally, but internationally. The truth is that I never imagined dedicating myself to this art, since I’ve worked in offices, living and working for years in Lima. Through life circumstances, now I reside in Cajamarca, where I live with my husband and daughters.
“I’m used to being active and when my daughters were very young, I felt the need to do something productive without neglecting them. That was when I found out there was a place where they taught jewelry making. Since I had experience in crafts, it seemed interesting and I decided to learn this art and discover all of the beautiful things one can make, embodying and transmitting feelings, culture, and memories in a piece of jewelry.
“Although I wouldn’t say I’ve mastered this art, I believe that constant training is necessary, which is something I do. I also belong to an association of jewelers, which allows us to train and exchange techniques and knowledge, which in turn contributes to the enrichment and efficacy of this wonderful art.
“Basically, the material I use is silver (950 and 925), which is very easy to work with and it arrives in bulk from a supplier in Lima. Then I prepare the material as I need it like wires, laces, sheets, etc. I also combine the silver with other materials like beads, threads and natural stones.
“What I like the most is being able to embody and transmit feelings and experiences through a piece of jewelry. It’s challenging to design jewelry in such a way that a person who buys it sees more than just a pretty, simple and elegant piece and will understand the message you want to convey.
“My source of inspiration is the contemporary woman – the executive woman, the independent woman – comfortable and successful.
“It hasn’t been very easy to work for myself, firstly because it implies a large investment in machines, equipment, raw materials, etc. Secondly, competing to achieve a place in the market isn’t a short term goal. Currently, I share the workshop with a friend who works in this art. We each run our own ventures and help each other out.”

FINDING YOUR SIZE
Take your measurements with the tape measure over your under garments. If your measurements fall between sizes you may prefer the next larger size. Inseam, skirt and dress lengths vary by style and will be listed in the item description. Our sweaters are knit in standard American sizes, however actual measurements vary by style.
BUST / CHEST
Measure around the fullest part of chest under the arms and over the shoulder blades keeping the tape measure level.
WAIST
Measure around the smallest part of the waist keeping the tape measure comfortably loose. Most garments use the low waist measurement noted below.
LOW WAIST
Measure around the body approximately 1.5" below the natural waist (above). This is the area where most pants and skirts actually fit.
HIPS
Standing with your heels together, measure around the fullest part of the body approx 7"-8" below the waist.
NECK
Measure around the base of the neck keeping the tape measure comfortably loose.
SLEEVE
Bend elbow slightly and starting at the center back of the neck, measure across the shoulder, to the elbow and down to the wrist.
INSEAM
Our standard inseam length for women is 32" and 34" for men; however inseam measurements will vary slightly by style.
Belts with buckles are measured in inches that correspond to a waist size however, most people do not wear belts on the waist, they wear them closer to the hips. A buckle belt measurement is take from the end of the "pin" of the buckle to the middle hole on the belt. Generally there are 5 holes for size adjustment, with a 1" space between each, so the middle hole will the be average size of the belt.
For at tie belt (no buckle) measure the belt portion end to end and half of the tie portion. This again is the medium size of the belt.
For a soft fabric tie belt it can be called "1 size fits most" and the entire length of the belt should be measured and listed.

Sash tie length
Lay sash/tie out flat away from the garment and measure from end to end.
Belt with buckle
Measure from the end of the pin of the buckle (where it touches the buckle) to the middle hole.
Belt without buckle
Measure from the belt portion end to end and half of the tie portion. This is will give you the medium size of the belt.
