Vazgen Gevorgyan

Through our hard work, we not only aim to create beautiful and meaningful pottery but also to share our cultural heritage with the world.

"I'm Vazgen, and my journey into the world of pottery began 14 years ago when I made a shift from teaching art theory,... painting, and anatomy at the Polytechnic Institute. The decision to delve into pottery was a pivotal moment, driven by my passion for creating applied and decorative items that contribute to the development of our national culture. To enhance my skills and understanding of micro-entrepreneurship, I enrolled in courses organized by the Small and Medium Business Development Agency. This initiative aimed to empower artisans like me to explore traditional techniques and materials, fostering the creation of unique, culturally significant pieces. In my work, I consistently apply these traditional methods, infusing each creation with a sense of heritage and love.

In this endeavor, my wife and I work side by side. Our approach is marked by a dedication to preserving our cultural legacy. We meticulously source and process local clay, a nutritional material that forms the basis of our pottery. The essence of our creations lies in reproducing the traditional heritage that often resides in museums or with a select few individuals. Through our hard work, we not only aim to create beautiful and meaningful pottery but also to share our cultural heritage with the world. Every piece we craft tells a story of tradition, love, and the unyielding spirit of artistic pursuit."
