"When I was a boy, I played in my father's workshop and I made my own earrings. Honestly, it was my first attempt at jewelry and, with his encouragement and support, I continued," he confides.
His artistic sensitivity also led him to write poetry.
"Brazilian gemstones and stainless steel are constants in my bold necklace designs.
"For some of my jewelry, I sought inspiration in the body paintings of our Amazon tribes .
"My wife Yara and I have three children and one of them is a teacher. They've had other experiences in teaching crafts, painting, engraving and working with leather."
