Details

A dragon curls its way around the wrist, jaw open and clasped tight against a foxtail chain that moves with quiet strength. Designed by Nengah Sriani, this men's sterling silver pendant bracelet draws on the sacred Balinese Naga, a guardian spirit known for holding both protection and power, watching over everything that flows and everything that stays grounded. The textured dragon head anchors the design with weight and presence, while the woven chain keeps the whole bracelet flexible and easy to wear.

#The main inspiration for the motif I'm currently developing is stingrays, which I often saw in the sea in my village when I was little. I modified it to produce an attractive jewelry design."

"I was born in 1974 in a village in eastern Bali. This village is traversed by one of the largest rivers in Bali — the... Unda River, whose water originates from the highest mountain on the island. I'm grateful I was born and raised here because we have so many artistic crafts such as woven fabrics, traditional Balinese architectural carvings, and silver crafts. As a child, I loved to string seeds from the plants in the yard near my house. I made necklaces and bracelets for my use and I used them to play. My friends often ask me to make some for them, too. I feel happy to be able to make my friends happy.

"My parents were laborers who helped build houses in my village. Even though I was born to a limited economic condition, my parents always taught me to be patient and passionate about achieving our goals. Thanks to them, I am motivated and confident in making decisions and being responsible for my decisions.

"Now I am married and have one son. As his mother, I'm responsible for guiding him to be a dutiful and useful child in his life. My son is the motivation for my husband and I to be enthusiastic so that our future life will be even better. Even though we suffered difficulties when the COVID 19 pandemic hit us as a family, we are still eager to find solutions and keep fighting to support our family. When all of this was over I was very proud to have made it through all these difficulties.

"Now I have a jewelry workshop with my husband and children. I enjoy studying this field because the craft is always evolving. How can we stay creative and keep abreast of existing market trends without losing the character of our designs?

"The main inspiration for the motif I am currently developing is stingrays, which I often saw in the sea in my village when I was little. I modified it to produce an attractive jewelry design. My design motif is also inspired by a village in Klungkung called Jumpai. Most of its population are fishermen. According to ancient stories, Jumpai comes from the word jung, which means 'the boat' and pai, which means 'stingray.'"

FINDING YOUR SIZE

Take your measurements with the tape measure over your under garments. If your measurements fall between sizes you may prefer the next larger size. Inseam, skirt and dress lengths vary by style and will be listed in the item description. Our sweaters are knit in standard American sizes, however actual measurements vary by style.

BUST / CHEST

Measure around the fullest part of chest under the arms and over the shoulder blades keeping the tape measure level.

WAIST

Measure around the smallest part of the waist keeping the tape measure comfortably loose. Most garments use the low waist measurement noted below.

LOW WAIST

Measure around the body approximately 1.5" below the natural waist (above). This is the area where most pants and skirts actually fit.

HIPS

Standing with your heels together, measure around the fullest part of the body approx 7"-8" below the waist.

NECK

Measure around the base of the neck keeping the tape measure comfortably loose.

SLEEVE

Bend elbow slightly and starting at the center back of the neck, measure across the shoulder, to the elbow and down to the wrist.

INSEAM

Our standard inseam length for women is 32" and 34" for men; however inseam measurements will vary slightly by style.

Belts with buckles are measured in inches that correspond to a waist size however, most people do not wear belts on the waist, they wear them closer to the hips. A buckle belt measurement is take from the end of the "pin" of the buckle to the middle hole on the belt. Generally there are 5 holes for size adjustment, with a 1" space between each, so the middle hole will the be average size of the belt.

For at tie belt (no buckle) measure the belt portion end to end and half of the tie portion. This again is the medium size of the belt.

For a soft fabric tie belt it can be called "1 size fits most" and the entire length of the belt should be measured and listed.

See buckle/tie belt size standards below.
