Patty de Zea

“Porcelain is a fantastic material; it captivated me from the first moment. I started experimenting, and it was easy, as if this had been created for me."

Patty de Zea is a self-taught artisan, in love with life, her family and God. Born in Guatemala, she grew up in a... wonderful family, where love, effort, work and perseverance were a fundamental part of her childhood. Thanks to this, today she is a woman full of virtues.

“All my life I have been interested in handmade products, and I have always found a way to be able to make products to decorate my home. That was how I started, until I saw that my products were of interest to other people, and from this I could have some income. That was when I started creating new products from fabrics, clothing and crafts.

"I formed a beautiful family with my husband, who sadly passed away a few years ago. I miss him every day since then, but I live grateful for the wonderful man that God put in my life. Thanks to him we built a home, and achieved many dreams that we proposed to ourselves from a very young age. We saw our children grow up, accompanied them in every stage of their life, and we had the joy of being grandparents and being able to pamper the grandchildren. Today I seek to continue with that legacy of love that he left us, and to continue to guide me family on the path of good, always holding the hand of God. God has given me the blessing of having a very close family. I am very lucky to be a grandmother; spending time with my grandchildren is one of my favorite things.

“Porcelain is a fantastic material; it captivated me from the first moment. I started experimenting, and it was easy, as if this had been created for me. Creativity has flowed since then and it has allowed me to make endless creations, from jewelry to home decor, small dolls, and many other things. Each piece that I make is unique, although they are the same in that each one carries my essence, my love for crafts, my joy and effort to bring more people the art that gives me so much satisfaction. These accessories reflect the colors that represent Guatemala, with its multifaceted culture and diversity of fabrics by region.”
