Through my paintings, I invite viewers to join me in a shared exploration, to see the world through my eyes, and to find their own meanings within the work.
"My name is Emma Dilanyan, and I am a painter born and raised in Yerevan, a city alive with art, culture, and... inspiration. From as early as I can remember, creativity has been a central part of my life. Although my parents initially encouraged me toward music, I felt a stronger, deeper connection with the visual arts. The world of painting, colors, and forms captivated me, offering a language through which I could express emotions and ideas that words simply couldn’t capture.
"My journey into painting began in earnest at the age of 13. This was when I first started studying the basics of painting independently, immersing myself in the fundamentals of art. With each sketch and brushstroke, I felt a growing sense of purpose and knew I wanted to make art a lifelong path. Later, I had the opportunity to deepen my skills and refine my vision at Terlemezyan College, where I received a strong foundation in traditional Armenian art. My artistic exploration then took me to the Graphic College in Jihlava, Czech Republic, where I further developed my aesthetic approaches. Studying abroad provided me with fresh perspectives and allowed me to experiment, expand my techniques, and grow as an artist.
"Over the years, I’ve been fortunate to participate in numerous exhibitions, where I’ve had the chance to share my art with a wider audience. I see each exhibition as a unique dialogue with viewers—a way to connect with others through the visual language of color, shape, and space. My work is often centered on landscapes and figurative compositions, two forms that allow me to explore and express the profound relationship between humans and the natural world. In each piece, I try to capture the nuances of this relationship, conveying the delicate balance, beauty, and sometimes tension that exists between man and nature.
"Color is an essential element in my paintings, and I approach each piece with a careful consideration of its palette. Through color, I seek to evoke emotion, to create atmosphere, and to invite viewers to step into the worlds I create on canvas. Shapes and spatial relationships are equally important, as they help guide the viewer’s eye, allowing them to uncover layers of meaning and emotion in each composition. To me, painting is not just a way to depict reality, but a means of creating an emotional experience that resonates with the soul.
"Beyond my own artistic practice, I also work as a curator, organizing exhibitions and artistic events that highlight the work of other Armenian artists. Curating has become a way for me to contribute to the development and dissemination of contemporary Armenian art, and I find great joy in supporting my peers and helping to bring their work to the public. It’s incredibly rewarding to see how each artist’s unique voice contributes to the larger narrative of Armenian art and culture.
"Art, for me, is an emotional and deeply personal form of self-expression. Each piece I create is a journey, a process of exploring and revealing the layers of beauty in the human soul and in nature. I believe that art has the power to touch people in profound ways, encouraging them to reflect, to feel, and to connect. Through my paintings, I invite viewers to join me in a shared exploration, to see the world through my eyes, and to find their own meanings within the work.
"I am grateful for every opportunity to share my art, and I hope to continue creating pieces that inspire, uplift, and spark conversations with those who encounter them. Thank you for allowing me to share my story, and I hope my work brings a touch of beauty and reflection into your life as well."

FINDING YOUR SIZE
Take your measurements with the tape measure over your under garments. If your measurements fall between sizes you may prefer the next larger size. Inseam, skirt and dress lengths vary by style and will be listed in the item description. Our sweaters are knit in standard American sizes, however actual measurements vary by style.
BUST / CHEST
Measure around the fullest part of chest under the arms and over the shoulder blades keeping the tape measure level.
WAIST
Measure around the smallest part of the waist keeping the tape measure comfortably loose. Most garments use the low waist measurement noted below.
LOW WAIST
Measure around the body approximately 1.5" below the natural waist (above). This is the area where most pants and skirts actually fit.
HIPS
Standing with your heels together, measure around the fullest part of the body approx 7"-8" below the waist.

Measure around the base of the neck keeping the tape measure comfortably loose.
SLEEVE
Bend elbow slightly and starting at the center back of the neck, measure across the shoulder, to the elbow and down to the wrist.

Belts with buckles are measured in inches that correspond to a waist size however, most people do not wear belts on the waist, they wear them closer to the hips. A buckle belt measurement is take from the end of the "pin" of the buckle to the middle hole on the belt. Generally there are 5 holes for size adjustment, with a 1" space between each, so the middle hole will the be average size of the belt.
For at tie belt (no buckle) measure the belt portion end to end and half of the tie portion. This again is the medium size of the belt.
For a soft fabric tie belt it can be called "1 size fits most" and the entire length of the belt should be measured and listed.
See buckle/tie belt size standards below.
