Add a splash of adventure to your everyday look with this comfy zip-front hoodie. Ricardo and Cesar combine a hood with a turtleneck for maximum coverage and warmth, and add a pouch front pocket perfect for tucking in your hands or your cellphone. A geometric pattern in contrasting white, crimson, and blue runs across the chest and the upper arms while a more discreet version of it decorates the cuffs and hem.

Ricardo and Cesar were brought together by their love of knitting and textiles. They combine traditional designs with modern techniques to create everyday contemporary apparel and accessories.

"Very nice medium heavy hoodie"

I wear a 43 suit jacket and the XL hoodie fits me the way I want. Originally had this in size large but it was tight in the arms. It's a very nice and well made hoody but be careful if you wear a watch or anything that can snag thread!! Inside the sleeve in the bicep area the material for the Native pattern is woven loosely and vulnerable to snags causing major thread pulling of the blue, red and white threads.!!!

Ricardo and Cesar

"It's totally incredible to see how a simple cone of yarn can be transformed into works of textile art."

"We're natives of Lima, Peru's beautiful capital We consider ourselves entrepreneurial, daring and audacious men. We... believe that we can transform ourselves through strength and perseverance. Both of us are very dedicated and responsible," they say.

Ricardo remembers with a smile and obvious pride that, despite having gone through one of life's most difficult moments — the loss of his mother when he was 15 years old — he has kept the best of her teachings, her wisdom, her way of life, and everything that she taught up until her passing. She encouraged his passion for art and, from then on, it was clear that he would do something creative. This is apparent in his clothing.

"My mother taught me everything that I know today. As a child, I saw how she put passion into everything she created, and it is precisely that passion that captivated me. The fact that I could create things with my hands always fascinated me. It's totally incredible to see how a simple cone of yarn can be transformed into works of textile art.

"Cesar shares the same love and passion for this art form, which brings us closer. Together, we create beautiful designs that we share with everyone who wants to learn to knit. Our dream is to show the entire world the art and talent in our textiles.

"Beginning to work on our own was a very tough task since we had to purchase the knitting machines, tables, and accessories. All of this required an amount of money that we didn't have at first. It was thanks to our strength that we were able to get enough money together to set up our own workshop.

"We consider ourselves to be creative men with plenty of ideas and designs in mind, and we transform them into something fascinating. Our designs are inspired by geometric figures, the winter atmosphere, and our Andean culture. On its own, design can be a very challenging task, since you have to square away every detail with the utmost precision. When it's time to knit, if a single part is not done well, that piece of clothing may fall apart or wear out quickly.

"In our humble workshop, we want to share what we know, motivating new generations to get to know this beautiful work. We have the pleasure of working with people of humble means, in whom I have seen progress since they have started to work with us. It's very gratifying to see how they've begun to improve their livelihoods, sending their children to school with the money that they make with us. For us, they are not just workers. They are friends who are extremely committed to bringing out the best.

"We are very grateful for this wonderful opportunity to grow as artisans and show our work to the world outside our borders.”

Take your measurements with the tape measure over your under garments. If your measurements fall between sizes you may prefer the next larger size. Inseam, skirt and dress lengths vary by style and will be listed in the item description. Our sweaters are knit in standard American sizes, however actual measurements vary by style.

Measure around the fullest part of chest under the arms and over the shoulder blades keeping the tape measure level.

Measure around the smallest part of the waist keeping the tape measure comfortably loose. Most garments use the low waist measurement noted below.

Measure around the body approximately 1.5" below the natural waist (above). This is the area where most pants and skirts actually fit.

Standing with your heels together, measure around the fullest part of the body approx 7"-8" below the waist.

Measure around the base of the neck keeping the tape measure comfortably loose.

Bend elbow slightly and starting at the center back of the neck, measure across the shoulder, to the elbow and down to the wrist.

Our standard inseam length for women is 32" and 34" for men; however inseam measurements will vary slightly by style.

Belts with buckles are measured in inches that correspond to a waist size however, most people do not wear belts on the waist, they wear them closer to the hips. A buckle belt measurement is take from the end of the "pin" of the buckle to the middle hole on the belt. Generally there are 5 holes for size adjustment, with a 1" space between each, so the middle hole will the be average size of the belt.

For at tie belt (no buckle) measure the belt portion end to end and half of the tie portion. This again is the medium size of the belt.

For a soft fabric tie belt it can be called "1 size fits most" and the entire length of the belt should be measured and listed.

See buckle/tie belt size standards below.

Triple 'Win' Pricing

UNICEF Market offers triple win pricing, where YOU the consumer, Children from around the world, and Artisans all benefit.

WIN # 1 You Save!

Handmade goods from developing nations usually pass through a series of intermediaries before being purchased by retail consumers. Each of these intermediaries adds cost to the product, and that cost is passed on to the customer. UNICEF USA partnered with NOVICA, who works directly with artists through their regional offices in Asia, Africa and Latin America, allowing purchases from UNICEF Market to go directly from the artisans to fulfilling customer orders. By skipping steps in the traditional supply chain, you can buy high quality items for less than the regular retail prices.

WIN # 2 Children Benefit!

Each item purchased from UNICEF Market will benefit UNICEF's programs that provide lifesaving nutrition, medicine, education, clean water, emergency relief and more to children in need.

You can learn more about UNICEF's work, on About UNICEF.

WIN # 3 Artisans Profit!

UNICEF Market artisans set their own prices and control their own businesses. UNICEF Market offers artisans a free platform to sell their work throughout the United States.
