The artisan suspends a mango wood shelf from durable cotton cords, which are hand knotted using macrame techniques. The cotton cord features a fun tassel and a convenient loop so you can hang the shelf with minimal fuss.

"Now I have a team of 10 people who work together with me to create amazing macramé products."

“Hello friends; my name is Hardeep and I am very hardworking, dedicated and creative by nature. My father was in the... handicraft business since my childhood days, and I was inspired by the unique beauty of the handcrafted products. As I grew up, I studied textile designing and gradually worked with an export company as a merchandiser for almost 10 years. But at times I felt the need of doing something more creative, and something of my own. During my work, I once came across some macramé garments which attracted me a lot, to the extent that I immediately came up with the idea of what I wanted to do. I decided to create hand crafted products with macramé work. With my father’s help, I contacted some artisans who have mastered this craft of macramé work and I learned from them.

“Finally, in 2018, I decided to start by myself. I coordinated with some macramé artisans and offered them work with me. My father provided me some space in his workshop to begin my journey into the macramé world. Now I have a team of 10 people who work together with me to create amazing macramé products. My brother also assists me in my work, and at times my father guides us with his knowledge and experience.

“Initially I had to face a lot of difficulties, but I today when I look back I feel proud to have overcome all of them. Every day is a new challenge, and this is what keeps me going. I learn from my everyday experience. The handicraft business background and textile technical knowledge helped me to achieve my goals. However, this is just a beginning.... there is still a long way to go.

“We use 100% cotton yarns for all our products. Our product range includes wall hangings, decorative shelves, chandeliers, purses, coasters, home textiles, etc. I wish to develop multiple ranges of home decor items with macramé work. There is lot of scope to create a creative range of products with macramé work, and I wish to explore all of them. I am also looking forward to create an apparel collection with macramé in the future.

“The best thing about this craft is that macramé work is completely handcrafted, giving unique characteristics to each piece. I take inspiration from nature and my own imagination.

“Working with me gives my team members opportunities like financial stability, fixed monthly income, education for their children and appreciation of their talent. I want to expand my workshop and start my own company one day. I am working towards that, and I wish to thank Novica for giving me an opportunity to showcase our talent. We want to be promoted globally for our unique quality in macramé work.”

FINDING YOUR SIZE

Take your measurements with the tape measure over your under garments. If your measurements fall between sizes you may prefer the next larger size. Inseam, skirt and dress lengths vary by style and will be listed in the item description. Our sweaters are knit in standard American sizes, however actual measurements vary by style.

BUST / CHEST

Measure around the fullest part of chest under the arms and over the shoulder blades keeping the tape measure level.

WAIST

Measure around the smallest part of the waist keeping the tape measure comfortably loose. Most garments use the low waist measurement noted below.

LOW WAIST

Measure around the body approximately 1.5" below the natural waist (above). This is the area where most pants and skirts actually fit.

HIPS

Standing with your heels together, measure around the fullest part of the body approx 7"-8" below the waist.

NECK

Measure around the base of the neck keeping the tape measure comfortably loose.

SLEEVE

Bend elbow slightly and starting at the center back of the neck, measure across the shoulder, to the elbow and down to the wrist.

INSEAM

Our standard inseam length for women is 32" and 34" for men; however inseam measurements will vary slightly by style.

 

Belts with buckles are measured in inches that correspond to a waist size however, most people do not wear belts on the waist, they wear them closer to the hips. A buckle belt measurement is take from the end of the "pin" of the buckle to the middle hole on the belt. Generally there are 5 holes for size adjustment, with a 1" space between each, so the middle hole will the be average size of the belt.

For at tie belt (no buckle) measure the belt portion end to end and half of the tie portion. This again is the medium size of the belt.

For a soft fabric tie belt it can be called "1 size fits most" and the entire length of the belt should be measured and listed.

Sash tie length

Lay sash/tie out flat away from the garment and measure from end to end.

Belt with buckle

Measure from the end of the pin of the buckle (where it touches the buckle) to the middle hole.

Belt without buckle

Measure from the belt portion end to end and half of the tie portion. This is will give you the medium size of the belt.
