UNICEF Market Summer 2018 Music Festival Essentials

If you haven’t made it to any of the summer 2018 music festivals, fear not. There’s plenty of amazing music fest fun to be had.

This weekend in Chicago, Lollapalooza‘s cross-genre four-day mash-up is off to a rollicking star with headliners Bruno Mars, The Weekend and Jack White and an eclectic mix of smaller acts to suit every mood and taste! If you don’t mind crowds — over 150,000 fest-goers could show up — Lollapalooza, though one of the granddaddies of music festivals, is still going strong.

If you’re out on the left coast, Outside Lands runs from Aug. 10 – 12, with The Weekend, Janet Jackson and Florence and the Machine in Golden Gate Park. Committed to going easy on the environment, this 10-year-old music festival, the Bay Area’s biggest, features a comedy tent, too.

Next up, the following weekend is Billboard-hosted Hot 100 Fest, Aug. 18–19, on Long Island at Jones Beach Theater. Rappers Future and Rae Sremmurd headline along with DJ Snake. And, the one we’re sure not to miss — Afropunk Fest in Brooklyn, N.Y., Aug. 25–26. Grammy-nominated Janelle Monáe will be there along with R&B crooner Daniel Caesar — and the Smiths, Jaden and Willow, that is!
