"My work reveals itself as I paint. It is like an internal and the path can be identified only after it is finished."

"My relationship with painting began to rescue myself. It was a doctor who advised me to begin art work so that I could... externalize my emotions in a creative way. This was the beginning of a long learning process with teachers such as Catarina Baratelli and Bernardii in Brazil, and art teachers in Seville, Spain, where I also studied.

"I am a spontaneous artist, not an academician. I do not follow rigid rules; my work reveals itself as I paint. It is an internal journey and the path can be identified only after it is finished. Currently, I have a preference for the human figure, mostly nude females. For many years, I painted with an Impressionistic aesthetic - portraying people and landscapes - and a bit of this can still be perceived in my work today.

"Since 1977, I have exhibited my work in the L'Espace Riche and the Galeria du Rond Point (Paris, 1999); I received an honorable mention in the Salão de Artes Plásticas do Brasil (South Africa). In addition, I was awarded a gold medal in the Salão do Ministério da Cultura and in the VIII Salão Contemporâneo da Academia Brasileira de Artes, both in Rio de Janeiro, among other prizes."
