"I was able to appreciate, through my studies and observations, my enjoyment and talent emerging from my first works...."

"I was born in Rio de Janeiro and lived there until 1966, when I moved to São Leopoldo in the great Porto Alegre to... study Natural History at UNISINOS. This was the beginning of my academic carrier in Natural Sciences, which accompanied my awakening to the world of art.

"Parallel to the sciences, I've always been interested in the different forms of artistic expression. I was a relentless visitor of museums and art galleries and I was able to appreciate, through my studies and observations, my enjoyment and talent emerging from my first works in the 1990s. I began to frequent Miriam Pinheiro's workshop, artist and restorer, and began my first academic studies in 1994. That year I decided to retire from the university and dedicate myself exclusively to painting.

"I began to work at Luiz Carlos de Carvalho's workshop, dedicating my time to the research of color and form. Eventually I passed into a new stage in my artistic trajectory and frequented Bernardii's office. Since 1996, I started to execute a style of work that instigated the development of my potential for expression. I imprinted my personality through colors and forms, letting go of my tendency for figurative expressionism. I searched through shadows, contours, volumes, and depths in order to develop my potential for abstraction. The distortion of objects proposed different possibilities of interpreting my work.

"I began to exhibit my paintings in 1995, and I have now participated in innumerable exhibitions both individual and collective, at national and international levels, including Italy and Chile."
