Daniel Ghazaryan

With the creation of each new sock I go deeper into this bright and colorful part of history.

"My name is Daniel Ghazaryan and my family originates from Sassoun, which has deeply influenced how I see Armenian... culture. I have a strong appreciation for Armenian ornaments, colors, and symbols. Even before starting my craft, I used Armenian ornaments in my photography projects, giving a modern twist to traditional designs. My travels have exposed me to the rich Armenian culture, where I've been captivated by the diverse yet interconnected ornaments, colors, and meanings. These experiences inspired me to start creating socks, where each pair can carry a unique story and message. Through these socks, I aim to breathe new life into the old Armenian heritage that might have been somewhat forgotten, passing it on to the younger generation.

"The process of creating each sock involves a significant amount of effort. I diligently research and gather information from various sources about the cultural heritage of different Armenian regions. I delve into the history, symbolism, and colors, which leads me through a complex but intriguing journey in developing each design. This entire process serves as my primary inspiration. With the creation of each new sock I go deeper into this bright and colorful part of history."
