"My name is Gulbahor Chorieva and the beginning of my journey in handicraft was inspired by my mother and grandmother.... They were very experienced in iroki embroidery and I have always watched with fascination as they create beautiful patterns on fabric. I observed their work, asked questions and helped them when needed. In addition, I independently studied the art of embroidery. I read books, watched video tutorials, and studied various resources on the Internet that provided information about iroki embroidery. I also attended workshops and exhibitions to get additional inspiration and new ideas.

"I use traditional production techniques in my embroidery. This includes the use of manual skills and techniques passed down from master to apprentice. I pay special attention to detail, precision and quality of every stitch to achieve a high level of craftsmanship and to preserve the originality of my craft. All these elements, together with the history and importance of iroki embroidery in our community, makes my work special and valuable.
