Fher and Armando

In their search for options, Fher and Armando discovered thread mandalas as a manifestation of what textile art is capable of offering.

Fher and Armando are two artists who, exploring and discovering their hidden talents, came across the beautiful and... mythical tradition of textile art and since then have dedicated themselves to creating thread mandalas in natural fibers.

Armando is originally from Mexico City. He was born in the third posada of the year 1946, so now he can proudly say that he has reached the 3/4 of a century and has had to be both a witness and a participant in great transformations in the country and in the world, from Flower Power and Janis Joplin to fiber optics and smartphones. He is a lover of color, brightness and good vibes. His creations are always brilliant, vital and with a force that comes from his infinite optimism, his love for life and the youth of the soul, since age is only a count on the calendar.

Fhernanda is a Guadalajaran who grew up in the typical provincial city during the 60s and 70s. School, games in the neighborhood and mass every Sunday; little did her parents imagine that she would become a witch who believes in energy and all its power in daily life. Tarot, astrology and numerology are some of the disciplines that she is passionate about and can be seen in her work.

Theirs are mandalas in natural fibers like cotton and wool for the life they possess, personalized most of the time and created in favorable moons. A lover of the planet, of life and of people, Armando only hopes to have enough time and resources to help more and more people and in more ways, because he believes in equal rights and in making known all the beauty of creation.

Fher and Armando have been traveling the paths of self-discovery and spirituality as life partners for more than two decades and recently all their life experiences as a couple have been enriched with a pilgrimage to Wirikuta in the company of a group of Wixárikas brothers from communities whom they have long supported; being the only external participants invited by the nature and sacredness of the experiences lived in said pilgrimage.

In their search for options, Fher and Armando discovered thread mandalas as a manifestation of what textile art is capable of offering. They decided to give life to decorative elements with a daring proposal of colors and materials, renewing ancient traditions; mandalas in Wixárika and traditional Tibetan yarn, as well as pieces of jewelry. Their pieces are made with power, energy and intention: to provide day-to-day protection to whoever gets them. For both, each work means a deep song that touches the soul, because, in addition to transforming and embellishing the place where they are placed, they provide the touch of emotional intention, favoring the manifestation of diverse emotions that bring us a little closer to that New Humanity and what we are becoming: more inquisitive, more connected, more aware. Each of their mandalas has a different meaning and they have a name based on the intention with which they are spun, in this way they promote positive emotional states that awaken the best version of ourselves, wherever they are placed.

Fher and Armando have had the privilege of exhibiting in diverse and recognized forums, seeking, in their lives as artists, that each work becomes more than an ornament, a life companion that continually reminds you of all that is magical and powerful in you.
