“We are a group made up mostly of women from the Lenca community in Honduras. Our art is pottery. Historically, we have been the protagonists in the elaboration of this art; it is a tradition that we inherited from our grandmothers, mothers and aunts, and that we are passing down to our daughters. Our art dates back to pre-Columbian times, as well as our language and our culture. Everything that Lencas was has been forgotten, but with the support and attention that they have given locally and internationally to the pottery we make, everything that identifies us has been remembered. We are very happy and proud to be able to present our pieces to the world through this platform, and we hope that every day our culture is known more and that our children feel proud of their roots and want to preserve our art and traditions.”
