A family group, artisans of the Olden Beauty Family Workshop work together to create exquisite jewelry. Their... inspiration comes from designs worn in colonial Mexico and more recent, yet bygone, eras.
"Working as a family has been an enriching experience," they agree. "It has brought us closer and let us come to know one another in a much deeper way. It has generated a sense of brotherhood that we love.
"We're the Olden Beauty Family Workshop, which we inherited from our parents. Arturo Salgado shares his incredible knowledge of silver filigree with his wife and daughters. For this beautiful technique, we use pure silver 999, which is more malleable than sterling. We also use cultured pearls and crystals of different types and tones.
"This technique is challenging and fun, but the process requires a lot of patience. However, it's worth the effort.

"When we first began working together, it was common to be nervous and it was especially bad when we began showing our jewelry in other latitudes. We forgot about a lot of things as we focused on bringing attention and passion to our work. But this fills us with an incredible happiness. It's given us a constant certainty that we're doing what we love.
"Our mission is focused on preserving this beautiful filigree art for the coming generations. We want to share the essence of Oaxaca and our identity with the whole world and transmit our love for our roots."
