"My name is Tjandra Jaya Kusuma and I'm from Bali. I was born to an entrepreneurial family. Bali is famous for its rich culture and art, including dances, painting and wood carving, and also for its stunning scenery.

"I moved away from home when I was in high school. When I was 23, I began working in my family's business.

"People say I'm a warm, friendly, creative and loyal person. I'm married and have three children I love very much. My family inspires me to become the best possible husband and father for them.

"Life isn't only about one success because, as long as we are still breathing, we will always learn. For me, success is not a result but process.

"I like to travel to other countries and am impressed with the souvenirs their artisans produce. One day, I began to craft nesting dolls with hand-painted motifs. I decided to use them to introduce Bali's cultural art. We depict many of our traditional stories on our dolls.

"Two other artisans assist me. I use cottonwood for the dolls and then paint the motifs by hand. We use chisels, brushes, hammers and a lathe.

"We hope Novica can help introduce our creations to the world."
